4K video is the ultimate in entertainment. And streaming it from an online service is the most convenient way to get it. It’s too bad your router is unable to provide the bandwidth to deliver the content to all TVs in your house.
Thanks to a new product from D-Link, the AV2 2000 Passthrough Powerline Kit with MIMO Technology (DHP-P701AV), there’s an easy and affordable solution. Priced at $119.99, this connectivity system delivers network speeds up to 2,000Mbps to support demanding endeavors such as online gaming, 4K media streaming and other bandwidth-intensive activities—all over your home’s existing electrical power lines.
“The great thing about powerline is that it makes it so users no longer have to base where they place important devices such as smart TVs or gaming consoles on where they can get a reliable connection from their router,” says Oscar Reyes, associate vice president of marketing, D-Link Systems. “The new PowerLine AV2 2000 Gigabit Passthrough Starter Kit offers a simple, affordable, and discrete solution by transforming every electrical outlet in the home into a potential network connection, making even the hardest to reach areas viable for networking activities.”
Designed for easy installation, the AV2 2000 Passthrough Powerline Kit simply needs one adapter connected to a home network’s router and nearby electrical outlet, and the other powerline adapter plugged into an outlet nearby the location in which the home needs network connectivity.
