TiVo BOLT+® with 4K Stands Out at CEDIA

About a year ago, TiVo, which has become the premiere, paramount brand associated with “the recording of content,” introduced its Unified Entertainment System, the TiVo BOLT. The 4K-compatible device combines the latest TiVo technologies, along with a unique industrial design to give homeowners a state-of-the-art solution that forms the foundation of a whole-home entertainment system.

TiVo BOLT+ Kicks It Up a Notch (or two)

This year, TiVo upped the ante at CEDIA 2016 with the introduction of TiVo BOLT+, a 4K-compatible set-top-box that bolsters the performance benchmark of the TiVo BOLT with the inclusion of several new features.

The TiVo BOLT+ adds three times more recording capacity with its 3TB hard drive, offering 450 hours of HD recording space¹, and ups the number of tuners from four to six. The TiVo BOLT+ also boasts the proprietary TiVo features loved by BOLT users, including:

 

• SkipMode™, which lets users skip entire commercial breaks–with the press of a button–when playing back the recordings of many primetime shows on popular networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW²
• QuickMode™, which makes it easy to get the recorded news and sports highlights you want 30 percent faster, without what the company calls “The Chipmunk Effect”
• OnePass™, which lets users find their favorite shows by displaying the content from all available sources, including TV, on-demand (where available), streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and VUDU.
  

And of course all TiVo BOLT boxes let you watch their favorite shows anytime, from nearly anywhere on a smartphone or tablet.

TiVo BOLT+ uses TiVo’s famously intuitive interface, which has been a consumer electronics benchmark since the company’s inception in the late ’90s. This interface makes it easy for users to search across platforms to find their favorite shows, to set up recordings for a single episode or an entire season, and to make it simple to watch streaming content from Netflix, Amazon Prime Instant Video, or other sources.
