The company’s Smart Chair technology seamlessly interacts with home automation and control systems, and features state-of-the-art human occupancy sensors, preset seating positions, and numerous other options. Not only can control systems be programmed to trigger automated responses based on human motion or movement taking place in the chair such as sitting or standing, the Smart Chair senses when an impingement occurs and will cease all motorized functions or movement. Representing a significant advancement in the seating category, the Smart Chair technology makes its debut in Fortress Seating’s Bijou model.
Although extremely innovative, an Internet- and smart home-connected chair isn’t the only smart seating option available. To give consumers an idea what’s possible, Fortress Seating created a Fully Loaded, Three-Seat Unit that combines some of the most popular accessories available into a single unit. It’s made for demonstration purposes in showrooms and design centers, but definitely makes a statement as to the degree of technology that seats can now incorporate.
