CES 2017: High Performance Speaker Company THIEL Offers Wireless Audio System

Since the 1970s THIEL Audio has developed some of the most respected loudspeaker designs in the home audio market. Diversifying its product portfolio, the company launches at CES 2017 a line of wireless audio loudspeakers, which includes options for home and portable applications. The first products in the line are the AURORA LifeStream Home and the battery-powered AURORA LifeStream Tour.

Both speakers will incorporate Apple AirPlay, DTS Play-Fi, and Bluetooth wireless connectivity options. THIEL says once DTS updates the firmware on its Play-Fi platform, the speakers will be compatible with Amazon Alexa.

“We studied the marketplace through the lens of design and technology that connects, and identified a significant opportunity in the wireless space,” explains Stuart Levine, chief revenue officer, THIEL Audio. “We looked at where design is gaining ground and focuses on the areas consumers are paying attention to and investing in. The opportunity to make products that give the consumer a creative edge is one that is energizing, and the feedback and focus groups and advanced viewing events have been positive.”

Each of the AURORA products is available in a choice of black or white. THIEL supports the speakers’ aesthetics with a selection of interchangeable trim kits that allows homeowners to customize the appearance of the products.

THIEL will offer downloadable 3D files on its website for consumers to use with their 3D printers to create their own unique designs to further support the customization of the AURORA speakers.
