Motorized Window Treatments

WINNER: MechoShade Home Systems MechoNet Wireless Daylight Sensor and Controller

The MechoNet Wireless Daylight Sensor and Controller keeps window shades up and lowers them automatically using a wireless, battery-free sensor to measure the amount of daylight coming through the windows. The shades can stop at customizable intermediate, full-up/down points to stop glare/heat. Moving a home’s shades fosters daylight harvesting, contributes to sustainability, and helps meet energy codes.

The small, easy to hide sensor allows for fast set-up and lowers costs due to the minimal installation effort required. The MechoNet system employs the EnOcean wireless communications technology platform, which ensures that other manufacturers providing EnOcean capable sensors and switches can work via the MechoNet Controller to move shades. So, for example, an occupancy sensor can also move the shades based on occupancy or vacancy of a room.
