Launched at the high-end Munich audio show this past May, Lexicon displayed its new SL-1 active loudspeaker at CEDIA. This flagship speaker system takes a radically different approach to providing either a pinpoint audio image or room filling sound, by employing a ring of individually amplified and controlled speaker drivers in a 360-degree position around the top of the tower. The speakers can be freely positioned in a room and then use advanced beam steering technology to aim and focus the sweet spot to almost any position, guaranteeing that the sound always sounds its best at the listening position.
